One time, on the way to Disneyland, my husband and I took a detour through Stanton area and spotted a Yoshinoya. I'd never tried it in the US so after we got home, we found some coupons and decided to give it a shot. The coupon was for Southern California locations only and offered two Combo Bowls for $14.75 (normally, one bowl costs around $10). The Combo Bowl came with a thin layer of white rice, some cabbage, broccoli, and sliced carrots. You could choose two types of meat. I went for fried chicken (four pieces) and regular Teriyaki chicken, while my husband chose beef and Teriyaki chicken. (Red ginger pack is free of charge.) The taste was definitely different from what I accustomed to in Asia. Let's just say it wasn't refined, but it was filling and the flavor was okay. (I'm not going to complain anything else since I used the coupon.) I also tried a Thai milk tea with boba for $4.29. Honestly, the flavor wasn't authentic, so I wouldn't recommend it. This Yoshinoya is on Beach Blvd. with a 7-11 on the corner, and maybe because of that, there were quite a few homelessness hanging around outside. My husband and I were followed by one who knocked our car door and asked for money. Sad to see this and I'm not really familiar with this area so I would just say be aware of your surroundings. Yoshinoya ALWAYS hits hard when I visit CA. I grew up on this stuff. Although the menu item names have changed ever so slightly, it is still the same good stuff! They have a new Japanese fried chicken and there are sauce option. The cashier when we went was real patient with my godmother explaining the difference between each sauce. She still took her time deciding despite the line forming behind us and he didn't rush her. The order came up quickly (we got to go). While we were seated in the dining room, I noticed how dirty it was and the table we happened to be at was sticky. I know everywhere in retail/hospitality is lacking in staff so I'm not really upset about it. I see how there weren't enough people to wipe down tables immediately. Everyone they had working that day was behind the counter cooking or ringing up.

I have come to this location quite a few times it's really clean. The people are nice. There are a lot of homeless people all the time but that is not their fault. The food execution is really well however, today was the first time that I got the Tokyo fried chicken and I got all my pieces really burnt so I asked him to make me new ones which they did happily and those were also burnt. They just need to change your oil. Again, really friendly people good execution

Located in a plaza with other businesses & parking is available, so it won't be an issue. It's super freezing inside, not sure if they mean to have it that way, but if you wants to eat there & your not a "cold" body, you better take a jacket. They should not have boba @ yoshinoya, leave that for the boba spots & stick to bulgogi rice plates. They never disappoint when you go here, depending on what you're craving, but I'd have to say, they have gotten greedy with the meat portion of the plates. Not sure if it's different restaurant chains, cause I've been to a few & this spot did not give you what you paid for.

The food tasted great and I think they revamped their recipes in comparison to what I ate from here 12 years ago. When I first ate here in 2011 I thought the food was horrendous but now it tastes a lot better. For what you are paying which is $8-$13 it's a pretty decent portion and actually healthy. But I feel like if you get the XL which is about 12, you might as well go to chipotle. But if you have EBT apparently this place accepts it and so does Wabagrill so it's nice to know that people who are on the lower income bracket can enjoy a full healthy meal. For some reason, the night I came in, there was a 30minute wait for chicken and salmon. But I'm sure other than this rare occurrence it's fast food so you should be getting the food in under 5minutes. They sell boba here but it was awful I wouldn't recommend it. Food: 5/5 pretty good salmon and beef Service: 3/5 was slow Ambience: 2/5 didn't look that nice on the inside but open and spacious
